I am originally from the UK where my career started in the banking sector, whilst taking a gap year before starting on my chosen pathway at the time of law.

I fell in love with Customer Services and leading people, so it would be fair to say that I never went back to study law and I admit now to having over 30 years of experience in Customer Services and running large scale Operations.

My career in the UK are financial both banking and insurance and I moved to New Zealand in 2008. I tried to semi retire, I was soon bored and returned quickly back to work spending five years at Sky City, which was a very varied and interesting field covering, hotels, F&B, conventions and casinos, incredibly diverse.

In 2013 I moved to 2degrees Mobile, where I stayed for 8+ years and for the last four years as Chief Customer Operations Manager, driving customer experience and Operational excellence.

Since joining NZTA Waka Kotahi in February 2023, I worked closely with the Customer and Services GGM to establish the new Group on a fixed term contract. I enjoyed the challenge and the variety of work so much that I am now a permanent fixture!

My passion is people first and foremost, watching them grow and deliver great things. I thrive in building high performing teams, teams that are accountable, supported and successful.

My biggest achievements over the years have been delivered by my teams !
